Wiltshire Citizens Advice work in partnership and collaborate with a number of organisations to ensure that people in our local community who need our help and support receive the highest possible quality advice services.

We are a partner of Wiltshire Council, who fund us to deliver Wiltshire Community Advice and Support Services. 
 
We are also funded, or partly funded via Wiltshire Council to provide the following projects:
  • Resettlement Project
This project provides debt and benefit advice to families recently relocated to the UK under the Syrian Vulnerable Persons Resettlement Scheme. Wiltshire Council provides the overarching support and co-ordinates a series of agencies. In addition to advice and casework, we administer and distribute the initial financial support available to the families.
  • Carers Together Wiltshire

Carers Together Wiltshire Logo webWe’re are also part of a new partnership providing tailored support to unpaid carers across Wiltshire under the umbrella ‘Carers Together Wiltshire’. Wiltshire Council and Bath and North East Somerset, Swindon and Wiltshire Integrated Care Board have commissioned Age UK Wiltshire in a consortium with Alzheimer’s Support, Citizens Advice Wiltshire, Community First, Wessex Community Action and Wiltshire Service Users Network’ to provide a range of support services to adult unpaid carers.   • Household Support Fund 7 (HSF7)
The Household Support Fund (HSF) was put in place by the government to help households that would otherwise struggle to buy food, pay essential utility bills, or meet other essential living costs during the current cost-of-living challenges. As part of the HSF7, we provide dedicated specialist advice to people living in the private rented sector in Wiltshire and those who are insecurely housed, including hostels, and those lodging with friends and family. This project offers advice on housing rights, debt and income maximisation as well as grants to help with rent arrears and ongoing rent shortfalls.
 
 We are also funded by other organisations to provide specific projects, these include:
  • Macmillan

This project provides welfare benefits advice to people affected by cancer.
 
  • MaPS Debt Advice Project

Citizens Advice is one of the lead agreement holders for the Money and Pensions Service (MaPS) funded debt advice project. Since 2017, we have been funded to deliver this service locally.

  • MS Society
This project, funded by the MS Society, provides benefits advice to people in living in SP1-SP6 or SN9-SN10 Wiltshire postcodes affected by Multiple Sclerosis (MS), including their families and immediate carers.
  • Pension Wise

Pension Wise is a guidance service set up to help people understand their options under the pension freedoms. We deliver Pension Wise appointments in a number of locations, including Bristol, Swindon, Yate as well as the main areas of Wiltshire, to people aged 50 and over, with a defined contribution pension. Pension Wise is now part of MoneyHelper.

  • Surviving Winter Campaign

We are funded by Wiltshire and Swindon Community Foundation as part of the Surviving Winter campaign, which has been running since 2010, supporting elderly and vulnerable people keep warm and safe during the winter months. 

  • Trussell
We provide debt, benefits and budgeting advice at local foodbanks, including:

- Salisbury Foodbank (including Amesbury)

- Malmesbury & District Foodbank (including Cricklade Foodbank)

- Devizes & District Foodbank

  • Wiltshire and Swindon Community Foundation - Energy, Food, and Community Support Programme 
Wiltshire and Swindon Community Foundation have long funded / part funded many of our local projects. For 2025/26 this includes the Energy, Food, and Community Support Programme, which provides grants to local people we are supporting through our advice work, who are in need of household essentials. 
  • Bath, North East Somerset, Swindon and Wiltshire (BSW) Integrated Care Board (ICB) - Wiltshire Cancer Screening Community Engagement Programme

We've recently been successful in applying for funding from the Bath, North East Somerset, Swindon and Wiltshire (BSW) Integrated Care Board (ICB) to undertake some research as part of a project to reduce health inequalities in Wiltshire. The purpose of this project is to help improve early cancer diagnosis, as spotting cancer early can make a big difference to treatment and outcomes. 

  • Wiltshire Money

Wiltshire Citizens Advice is also an active member of Wiltshire Money, the lead body for financial inclusion activity within the county. Wiltshire Money provides a strategic framework for local organisations to co-ordinate their work, develop collaborative partnerships and share lessons learnt. Essentially, it aims to help people make informed financial choices and be in control of their money.

 

We also receive funding from:
  • Chippenham Borough Lands Charity
  • Selwood Housing Association
  • Wessex Water
  • and many Town and Parish Councils in Wiltshire.

We also work alongside many other local voluntary and community organisations to support service users and community projects, for 2025/26 these include Building Bridges, Doorway, and SSAFA.
